Here are some of the best gadgets that have made my life easier!

If you impulse buy anything today and want to make life easier, make it one of these. Living with ADHD as an adult can be a total minefield. Between executive dysfunction as well as forgetfulness and ease of being distracted, I’ve improved my daily life with these products! Whether it’s remembering appointments or tasks, keeping the house tidy or getting to sleep there are many things out there that can greatly improve your day. Now if you’re reading this with ADHD you’re probably thinking…. Get on with it. So here goes… In no particular order.

Sleep – getting a good nights sleep is super important!
Order some today, sleep better.

Listening to sleep meditations or binaural beats helps me get to sleep and stay asleep to get the rest I need for my brain to function the next day. You can find plenty of sleep soundtracks on streaming services like Ennora Binaural Beats. Sometimes wearing headphones is not ideal, you could be woken up in a tangled mess and bulky headphones are not very comfortable at all. Earbuds can be alright but they fall out, who knows where you might find them in the morning. There are also so many options available from these noise cancelling options (great for productivity) to these genius RunPhones which offer a comfortable, unobtrusive, wireless solution that won’t strangle you in your sleep or make you uncomfortable.

Hydration, I bet right now you’re thinking… I should drink more water…
Earth Essence Crystal

I myself just took a break to go and fill up my water bottle, and that sounds easy right? Just drink more water. Honestly there is not much that’s as satisfying as a long cool drink of some refreshing water. Hydration does wonders for our bodies, relieves tension and stress and even helps you brain in receiving the oxygen it needs to function. Now this life hack might sound kind of crazy, but having good quality water bottle has truly improved my life and health, along with mental wellbeing. “Oh no, what if I lose it” I hear you say…. Just attach one of these do-dacky tracky things, it may seem expensive but, invest in your health, it sure beats losing things all the time. Whether you go for this fancy crystal Earth Essence bottle or a Camelpak sports bottle that keeps your drink cool, the one that suits you is the one that you’ll never forget. You’ll thank me later, now go drink some water. Bonus tip, use it for wine at the beach and just make sure you clean it after.

Tidy home, tidy head, but who’s got time for that?

Whilst all of us ADHDer’s spend our time procrastinating there are people in the world vacuuming, dusting and tidying up their spaces. Jealous much? I am and I know how the clutter can really build up and give me anxiety. But, I’ve got news for you, robots can do some of the work! Yes. Robots. I know what you’re thinking, this guy has lost it… Needs to drink some water. Seriously though, robot vacuum cleaners can take care of this mundane chore to give you more time listening to your favourite audiobook or scrolling pictures of cool looking ducks. They are smart, self driving and will just go and charge themselves. This one is my pick, the Xiaomi Viomi V3, good product and good price!

Timer/ Alarm Clock

This little timer, how’s that going to change your life? Well you know how to eat an elephant right? One bite at a time, and if you want to improve your living area and get more done aren’t the house along with having more time for hobbies, DO NOT embark on a big mission. Let’s say you’ve got a bit of tidying to do, simply set a timer for 10 minutes and get stuck in. You will surprise yourself with just what you can achieve in 10 minutes and you will feel great about it. I promise. Think you can use your phone timer? Forget it, I struggle to set my alarm before bed without unlocking my plene and getting distracted. Get one with an alarm clock too, trust me.
